Harriman Systems Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1991 as an information technology consulting firm specializing in mission-critical (satellite mission control centers, world-wide semiconductor manufacturing, air-traffic control, etc.) data center support services. During some of the down-turns in the Silicon Valley economy, we started working on projects integrating data and video between racing cars, track-side timing and scoring equipment, and the internet.
We started out as the stereotypical Silicon Valley startup, in a detached garage in downtown San Jose. In 2001, we moved to out current facility in Sunnyvale, with 5500 square feet of shop space and another 7000 in a secure yard.
